Ashtead faced an urgent requirement: the rapid deployment of over 100 laptops to staff located in the US, UAE, and Singapore. Each device needed to be supplied with region-specific keyboard localisations, and the laptops had to be ready for immediate deployment within just two weeks - a significant challenge given the standard 4-8 week lead times typically associated with custom-configured builds (CTOs). Any delays in delivery would risk operational disruption across international teams.

Our in-house Technical Services Team then managed all localisation and configuration requirements under one roof to dramatically reduce turnaround times.

• Sourcing of over 100 Lenovo laptops on accelerated timelines, bypassing traditional CTO delays.
• Keyboard reprints and localisation, professionally applied for the UAE, US, and Singapore regions.
• Capture and logging of device hash codes, enabling streamlined registration and deployment into Ashtead’s Microsoft Intune environment.
• All work performed in-house by BSL, eliminating third-party delays and enabling full quality control over the configuration process.

Thanks to this proactive approach, BSL successfully reduced the expected lead time from up to two months to just two weeks, ensuring that Ashtead’s teams around the globe received the equipment they needed, exactly when they needed it.
